Currently, PA does not accept out of state medical marijuana cards and does not have a reciprocity program. While other states may accept PA cards, PA dispensaries are only permitted to serve patients with PA medical marijuana cards. To qualify for medical marijuana in PA, you must be a resident of this state, and you must have a PA MMJ card to purchase from a PA dispensary.

Only approved medical marijuana patients (and their approved caregivers) can purchase marijuana in Pennsylvania, as recreational cannabis is not legal. The amount of cannabis a medical marijuana patient or caregiver could purchase had been one-month’s supply, though recently the Governor signed a law upping the amount to a three-month supply.
